A friend in life and on Facebook today posted this image and this caption…
“What if our religion was each other? If our practice was our life? What if the temple was the Earth? If forests were our church? If holy water – the rivers, lakes, and oceans? What if meditation was our relationships? If the Teacher was life? If wisdom was knowledge? If love was the center of our being?”
Injustice, violence, environmental and social collapse… the antidote … love.
We don’t know the future / but we’re not without the tools to affect positive change… and the most potent tool is love in all its forms / kindness, patience, generosity… respect.
Some folks talk about a new world order in which nations work together and the impossible is realized.
Now we spend half our resources fighting senseless wars and litigating battles for things we will admit, 10 years from now, were fever dreams.
Humans are blind. Our friend, Greg Marsh, tonight in our discussion, asserted, as a philosopher, he has spent his life “blind in one eye”. We see some things and we are clueless in others.
Turn to love and see clearly.
