Common Ground Outreach is a network of ministries, practices and programs providing spiritual encouragement and empowerment. A large host of volunteers from diverse professions and walks of life share resources and training as they look for ways to be the answer in a world becoming more fractured and chaotic every day. Drop in centers, prison outreach, counseling and philosophical exploration groups are some of the faces of our group. The principles of spiritual and social justice are taught everywhere people gather, even in the basement visiting areas of local prisons. While growing out of an evangelical base, the Common Ground message is that God only asks us to embrace the message of love, and, from that grows a pantheon of meaningful human activity.
Common Ground Outreach is evolving. Having only begun as a non-profit 501c3 organization in 2014 we are hilariously trying to keep up with the tremendous enthusiasm for our message. We truly feel that the simple message of love for life and the Creation can be brought to bare on our systems of economy and government to affect universal change that can save the world.
One individual can begin a movement that turns the tide of history. Martin Luther King in the civil rights movement, Mohandas Ganhi in India, Nelson Mandela in South Africa are examples of people standing up with courage and non-violence to bring about needed changes.
